Happy 2019! How did you ring in the New Year? We hope you had a wonderful celebration and you’re fully into fulfilling your resolutions for 2019 with much success. If your resolutions included taking better care of your smile, we can help you with that. One great way to get a fresh new start to your dental care is by purchasing a new toothbrush.
A New Toothbrush For The New Year
- Reason #1 It’s flu season. If you’ve recently been sick with the flu, cold, strep throat or any other sickness your toothbrush is still holding those bacterial germs in it. The germs that remain in and on your toothbrush can re-infect you with that same nasty sickness you just got rid of.
- Reason #2 Most likely your toothbrush is in your bathroom. Bathrooms are usually moist, which means your toothbrush does not have time to dry. This moist environment is the perfect “home” for bacteria to grow.
- Reason #3 If your toothbrush bristles are looking frayed or frizzled (envision what you hair might look like on a humid day) then they are not able to work up to its optimal potential. When bristles are compromised they are not able to effectively get into the nooks and crannies of your teeth.
