School is back in full swing. Most likely, homework, quizzes and after school activities are consuming much of your time right now. Finding time to be together as a family can be hard. Dinners are sometimes on the road and family planning of schedules can tend to happen via text messages amongst family members. It’s hard, but all good. Enjoy every moment with your children! They’re a gift.
Jefferson Dental Care is passionate about families and dental care. For that reason, we’d like to suggest some fun ways to incorporate family time into your daily dental care routine.
- According to the American Dental Association, you should replace your toothbrush every three to four months. Using a toothbrush with frayed and worn bristles makes it a less effective tool for cleaning. Instead of throwing the old brushes away, why not use the old brush for a splatter art project by dipping the brush into paint and pull the bristles back and release onto a piece of paper or canvas. You can create all kinds of neat designs.
- Flossing is another daily dental routine that can be made fun for the family. Why not jam some country tunes in the bathroom while flossing. After you all finish, use your floss as a lasso. Swing it over your head and aim for the trashcan. See who is the best wrangler in your family and then give a big “Yeehaw!” after the fun routine is over.
Jefferson Dental Care would like to remind you to keep your daily dental routines fun and allow them to bring your family together to promote dental health and family bonds and memories that will last a lifetime.
